CDMA 2000 1x


  • CDMA2000 1X provides the reverse pilot channel to make the reverse channels capable of coherence modulation, realizing 3 dB gain increment and accordingly doubling the reverse link capacity in contrast with the non-coherence modulation technology employed by the reverse channels of the IS-95 system.
  • CDMA2000 1X can exert forward fast close loop power control with the forward fast power control technology. So it improved the forward channel capacity with less BS power consumption in contrast with the single slow power control by the forward channels of the IS-95 system.
  • The fast paging channel is introduced in CDMA2000 1X to cut the MS power consumption considerably and raise the MS standby time.MS standby time of CDMA 2000 1X is more than 5 times as that of IS-95.
  • The CDMA2000 1X forward channels can use transmit diversity (OTD and STS) to improve the anti-fading capability of the channels and the signal quality of the forward channels. The CDMA2000 1X forward channels provide a capacity about twice as the IS-95A system, thanks to the use of transmit diversity technology and forward fast power control.
  • The CDMA2000 1X system capacity increases by 1.6 times due to the use of the Turbo code in its traffic channels, since 2 dB gain increment is realized if the Turbo code is used for channel coding instead of the convolutional code.
